From Liberia Airport by Bus
From Liberia take the bus headed toward Nicoya or Santa Cruz. Make sure the bus stops in Santa Cruz as this is where you are going to get off. From Santa Cruz you will have to go the the other bus terminal and catch a bus to Ostional /Nosara. The Ostional Nosara bus passes through and makes stops in San Juanillo. One of the stops is conveniently located right in front of Pura Veda. Tell the driver you want to get off at El Cruce a Santa Cecilia.
Here are some timelines and landmarks to look out for
Once the bus from Santa Cruz turns off the paved road to a dirt (laster) road, San Juanillo is about 25 Km. About 11 Km in you will pass a small fisherman's beach called Lagarto. 7 km later you will reach Marbella. There, the bus will cross a bridge over a river. Our center is about 6 kms away! The bus will enter San Juanillo once it crosses the next bridge (not very big but noticeable). You will see a blue building on the right hand side (small building) that says San Juanillo ASADA. You will then pass over another small bridge. The bus will go up the hill and soon after you should see a sign on the right hand side that says Chalet San Juanillo...about 100 meters there is a Road on the left (that is the crossing to Palmares / Santa Cecilia. This is the bus stop there is no covered waiting area, bench or sign. You just have to let the driver know you want to get off. Once you get off cross the main road and follow the side road. You will see a driveway on your right (there is a sign that reads Pura Veda and another that reads Archery). That is the entrance to the property. Follow the driveway up and then down.
From San Jose Airport by Bus
Take a bus San Jose – Santa Cruz, which takes from 5 to 6 hours (Tralapa, +506 2221-7202/ +506 2680-0392), and then take a bus from Santa Cruz to Ostional, which takes about 2 hours, making the stop in San Juanillo (however, the bus can’t make the trip during heavy rains).
